Farm Worker Wanted – Part-Time/Hourly
Location: Carter Farms, Sexsmith, Alberta
Wage: Hourly, based on experience
Start Date: ASAP
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking farm worker to help with morning and/or evening chores when I am unavailable or out of town as well as regular farm maintenance, odd jobs and help during the haying season. This job requires someone who takes initiative, notices details, and genuinely cares about the animals and farm.
Responsibilities:
✅ Feeding animals and turning horses in/out
✅ Monitoring livestock and reporting any concerns (e.g., odd behavior)
✅ General yard work (fencing, weed whacking, maintenance)
✅ Assisting during haying harvest in July
✅ Operating farm equipment (training provided if needed)
Requirements:
Ideally lives nearby for short-notice availability
Must be reliable – animals need to be fed at reasonable times (7am and 6pm)
Class 5 driver’s license required (Class 1 is a bonus)
Basic horse knowledge is an asset but not mandatory
Hardworking and independent – job lists will be provided, and you can work at your own pace
