Position: Appliance Delivery- Driver/Worker
Location: Greater Toronto Area
Elite Express is a reputable and growing business specializing in the delivery and installation of residential and commercial appliances. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional service to our customers and maintaining a professional and efficient delivery and installation process.
Job Overview: We are seeking a qualified and experienced Appliance Delivery Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience driving a 5-ton truck, a clean driver's abstract, and a valid G license. The role requires someone who is reliable, customer-focused, and capable of handling and delivering heavy appliances safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a 5-ton truck to deliver appliances to residential and commercial properties
- Load and unload appliances, ensuring they are handled with care.
- Perform installations and ensure appliances are properly set up according to customer requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing any questions or concerns during delivery.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and records.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience driving a 5-ton truck with clean driver's abstract.
- Experience in handling and delivering large appliances is mandatory
- Must be capable of fridge padding appliances to different levels of the home.
- Must have knowledge of assembling/disassembling fridges to accommodate seamless deliveries.
- Knowledge and understanding of basic appliance installation.
- Strong ability and knowhow of dollying appliances.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, detail-oriented and organized.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong knowledge of local roads and routes.
