Ministry Overview: To inspire and lead a team dedicated to anchoring the hearts of teenagers to the truth and leading them to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Responsibilities:
• Serve and support the vision, mission and strategic plan of Corry Alliance Church.
• Attend Sunday morning worship services regularly and
• Report monthly to the Board of Elders and Administrative Board.
• Meet regularly with the pastoral staff for coaching and communication.
• Work with a well-established team of passionate adults to disciple youth in their walk with God in both large group and smaller relational environments.
• Work with the office staff on a daily basis with the ability to cover incoming calls or visits as needed.
• Coordinate weekly youth group meetings (Sunday School and Sunday PM Youth Group) during the school year and various activities during the summer.
• Encourage teens to participate in the larger ministry of the church through fellowship, worship and service opportunities.
• Communicate regularly with the parents of youth.
• Manage the Youth Budget.
• Coordinate youth fundraisers.
• Be involved with Edinboro Camp - attend and assist at Family Camp.
• Plan and create outreach and discipleship youth materials.
• Engage with the students of Corry Alliance Academy and Childcare Ministries.
• Preach four times a year in the Corry Alliance Church's worship services.
• Establish regular office hours.
• Assist the Lead Pastor as needed.
Qualifications:
• Evidences a solid and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Bible College graduate (not necessarily from Alliance College).
• Must meet the qualifications for an elder listed in 1 Timothy 3:1-13, Titus 1:6-9 and 1 Peter 5:2-3
• Must be accredited and licensed with the C&MA.
• Shall work towards ordination with the Christian and Missionary Alliance, if not already obtained.
• Agrees to a background check by our search team during hiring process.

• Displays evidence of an intentional personal relationship with Christ.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills. Uses those skills to communicate effectively with youth and their families to build lasting redemptive relationships.
• Shows ability to teach and to facilitate group discussions.
• Maintains a high level of excellence and quality.
• Values a "team approach" to ministry and is loyal and teachable.
• Leadership: Leads with humility and team mentality as we lead and create disciples together (Ephesians 4:1-7)
• Heart of love: He must have a love for God, his family, God's people, the church, the lost and the ministry. He must be a pastor with a caring, shepherding spirit.
• Man of faith: He must realize that without wisdom from God it is not possible to do the work of the ministry or even live a fruitful Christian life. Must model a life of faith and prayer.
• Doctrinal Position: Willing to take a scriptural stance against worldly issues (i.e. LGBTQ, literal 7-day creation, abortion, etc.).
• Agrees to abstain from alcohol and / or substances that can lead to addiction.
Hours:
A minimum of 40 hours per week will be expected. The flexible nature of the ministry makes schedule adjustments possible as the need dictates.
Compensation: Salary, Housing Allowance and Medical Benefits all based on education and experience by the Elders.
