Analyst II - Air Service Development - Colorado Springs Airport

The City of Colorado Springs is ready to welcome an Analyst II to the Air Service Development team!

In this position, you will be a member of the Air Service Development team at the Colorado Springs Airport (Airport), working on a variety of projects and initiatives involving air service development and airline relations. You will also support the Airport team as needed with business analysis, air service budgeting, capital planning, and other projects as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time, Exempt
Hourly Salary: $34.61 - $41.55 Hourly
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00AM - 5:00PM with opportunity to telework. Occasional business travel may be required
Pre-Employment Requirements: The selected candidate must pass (or have already passed) a fingerprint-based criminal history records check as required by the Transportation Security Administration.

As an Analyst II, you will:
• Research potential air service opportunities for new and existing markets and communicate opportunities with internal and external stakeholders
• Stay informed of airport and airline industry trends and news; provide regular updates to the Airport and air service stakeholders
• Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance indicators of the Airport relative to regional and national peers
• Analyze and develop the Airport's air service incentive program
• Contribute to the development and execution of Airport’s air service development strategy and tactics
• Analyze air service market demand, fare, and capacity patterns for the industry and Airport
• Prepare air service presentations that accurately represent the Colorado Springs market, as well as air service opportunities to airlines and external stakeholders
• Develop and present written and oral air service development presentations to multiple stakeholders and audiences
• Research and identify opportunities for business process improvement
• Manage airline affairs-related issues, tasks, and relationships

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:
Knowledge of:
• Airline networks, including hubs, spokes, frequencies, capacity, and carrier strengths and weaknesses
• Key factors in successful new and existing market development
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and presentation skills
• Methods of economic, statistical, financial, and procedural analysis
• Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations
• Airline route development

Ability to:
• Using data to prepare comprehensive reports, documents, and correspondence
• Work independently with minimum supervision
• Prioritize and manage time effectively
• Recommend and participate in various organizational studies and analysis
• Coordinate the collection, evaluation, and interpretation of information and data
• Maintain detailed records and prepare professional reports
• Analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, and provide recommendations
• Review and analyze technical documents and proposals
• Balance multiple projects, meet necessary deadlines, and exercise initiative
• Communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
• Establish and maintain effective working relationship
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in a related area of study
• Three years of full-time, professional experience in a related field
