RedCat Recruitment is urgently seeking an experienced ADMINISTRATION / FINANCE ASSISTANT for an NGO concern – position based in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.
PERSON MUST CURRENTLY RESIDE IN PIETERMARITZBURG AND BE ABLE TO START IMMEDIATELY .
JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12.
Valid driver’s license / own reliable vehicle.
Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet). Advanced MS Office skills.
2yrs+ previous working experience in office administration / finance in an NGO environment.
Excellent people skills, attentive to detail and adherence to policies, procedures and systems.
Strong administration skills and abilities to work with and, as needed, establish and maintain administrative systems and procedures.
Capturing of financial data.
Adherence to financial and procurement procedures.
Able to implement all office administration procedures independently.
Receiving visitors, answering calls, operating switchboard when required.
Collecting post, banking.
Receive deliveries.
Assisting staff across a range of administrative support needs.
Filing and resource centre management.
Taking minutes of meetings.
Assist in asset register maintenance.
Arranging for maintenance of equipment.
Building maintenance.
Support to the Office Manager to apply systems and procedures of the organisation.
Arranging supplies, maintenance and repairs (checking availability of cartridges/toners).
Logistics and travel arrangements such as flight / accommodation bookings, vehicle and equipment hire.
Organise workshops / meetings – catering / venue hire.
Administration support – typing, faxing and photocopying.
Manage and oversee SaveAct assets – e.g., office equipment
Obtaining quotations for services and supplies as required.
Filling out order forms and getting them signed
Managing the office premises, ensuring services are properly used and maintained.
