Job Summary:

THIS POSITION IS IN TAHLEQUAH OKLAHOMA

Position Summary:
The Medical Library Manager provides leadership and management of the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine-Cherokee Nation (OSUCOM-CN) Medical Library as the primary provider of biomedical information services for the OSUCOM-CN campus. This position plans, develops, and evaluates library resources, services, and CN campus library staff. As needed, this position proctors library testing center exams and provides coverage for the circulation desk.

To fulfill the goals and mission of the Medical Library, this position performs additional duties as assigned.

Ability to lift and carry 10 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Library Science accredited by American Library Association or related education
• Three (3) or more years librarian experience.
• Valid Driver's License

Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge:
• Ability to supervise and lead an academic medical library branch
• Knowledge of medical library leadership best practices
• Ability to provide medical library reference and instruction
• Ability to develop and document library database searches
• Ability to develop and document technical instructions
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues in a multi-site environment

Preferred Experience:
• Medical or academic librarianship with some supervisory responsibilities.
