We are seeking highly skilled Airborne Cryptologic Language Analysts to join our team at the United States Air Force. As a key member of our intelligence community, you will be responsible for translating and analyzing intelligence communications during flight missions.
About the Role
Our Airborne Cryptologic Language Analysts are essential specialists who leverage their fluent foreign language skills to provide threat warnings and actionable intelligence that enhance mission planning and ensure the safety of Airmen. They play a critical role in keeping our missions successful and our personnel safe.
Key Responsibilities
• Translating Intelligence Communications: Responsible for translating intelligence communications obtained during flight missions, utilizing fluent foreign language skills to analyze messages and provide threat warnings and actionable intelligence.
• Mission Planning: Collaborate with other team members to provide threat assessments and actionable intelligence that enhance mission planning and ensure the safety of Airmen.
• Maintaining Security Clearances: Must maintain current Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) clearances and complete regular polygraph tests.
Requirements
To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet several requirements, including:
• Being between 17-42 years old
• Having a U.S. citizenship
• Obtaining a qualifying ASVAB score
• Demonstrated proficiency in a designated language, or successful graduation of the Defense Language Institute in a designated language
• Completing Aircrew Fundamentals Course, Airborne Cryptologic Linguist Course, and designated Survival Schools
• Completion of Initial Qualification Training with a valid aviation qualification
• Must be at least 17, but has not reached age 42 on the date of enlistment
The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 - $120,000 per year, based on location and experience.
