The key purpose of this role is to connect every dot of the manufacturing supply chain from demand through to supply, logistics and finance. Thus, the ideal candidate is one that is able to generate feasible monthly supply & inventory plans that meet desired customer service Levels while avoiding unnecessary distribution and obsolescence costs. Furthermore, this role is responsible for managing th...e entire manufacturing supply chain, from demand through to supply, logistics, and finance, with the goal of generating feasible monthly supply and inventory plans that meet customer service levels while minimizing distribution and obsolescence costs.Key roles and Responsibilities:Monitor the weekly plans produced from Barnton and escalate risks to MRP manager & WSNP managerProduce a monthly 12–18-month forecast aligned to S&OP and CONA publish & sign off on monthly inventory LE’s to cash flow teamEnsure monthly ‘handshake’ on S&OP process with suppliers and procurement and routines are followedControl/Loss Prevention and Obsolete ManagementProtect service level by mitigating risks on raw materials to production planKPI tracking: NST; OTIF Materials; S&OP KPI’s on supplier collaboration; DCBLCollaborate with external suppliers and internal teams (SNP Planner, Scheduler, Inventory Deployment, Retpack Execution, Procurement, Finance, and Zone Planning) to ensure smooth supply chain operationsefine critical materials and ensure adherence to daily, weekly, and monthly routines. Track and report KPIs in line with LCP requirements, applying problem-solving tools for any out-of-range KPIsMRP Run & ValidationRun MRP in the Planning System for both TBL and TDL &Check restrictions and adjustCheck material availability and forward stock projection vs agreed upon stock parameters for both TDL and TBLReview supplier production plan and critical material availability, check restrictions and adjustIdentify slow moving inventory and alert teamCheck long term material availability with suppliersMaterial management and Supplier ManagementExpediting of urgent orders & Ensure correct PO process is followedFollow up that all inventory is GRN in time (within 48 hours) and that GIT is always cleanCarefully track and report on shelf life of materials weekly to reduce obsolescenceManage inventory levels against Inventory Policy and report weekly on any variances and risksFully understand commercial terms of each supplier & Issue POs for each raw material and packaging materials at brewery and distillery levelFollow up with supplier monthly on any account related problems and facilitate speedy reconciliation of accounts.Manage call offs from suppliersKey Attributes and Competencies:Strong numeracy, analytical, and problem-solving skills at operational and tactical levelsAbility to manage complexity and ambiguityEffective communicator across all organizational levelsStrong negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport and influenceExcellent self-management, proactive, and committed approachStrong presentation and report drafting skillsMinimum Requirements:Candidate should have a 3-year Bachelor level degree in Sciences, Supply chain, Commercial or similar degree or equivalent tertiary education1-2 years planning experience advantageousAn orientation towards the quantitative disciplines of mathematics, statistics and economics would be advantageousAdditional Information:Band: VIII ABInBev is an equal opportunity employer, and all appointments will be made in line with ABInBev employment equity plan and talent requirements.Job opportunitiesThe advert has minimum requirements listed..
