The nursing staff's primary responsibilities in the Pre-Admission Testing department include peri-operative assessment, teaching and screening. Patient medical information is obtained by phone or on-site. The nurse confers with other clinical staff and departments as needed. Also gathers reports and coordinates additional tests if warranted. Must have solid assessment skills, excellent communication and customer service skills with great attention to detail and follow-through.
Requirements:
• Previous PAT, PACU or OR experience strongly preferred
• BCLS within 30 days of hire
• Registered Nurse - N.H. state or other compact state
