INTERNAL ADVERT FOR TUTORS REQUIRED FOR ACADEMIC SUPPORT CLASSES 2025
Mnambithi TVET College requires the services of Academic Support TUTORS for the 2025
Academic year. Invitation is sent to all qualifying N6 Certificate holders and Diploma Graduates
who studied at Mnambithi TVET College to apply for the following subjects on the Campus
indicated below:
EZAKHENI ‘E’ CAMPUS
Power Machines N5
Industrial electronics N4
Industrial Electronics N5
Mathematics N5
Engineering Science N4
Mathematics N4
Digital Electronics N4
Tariff: R250,00 per hour
Requirements:
• Senior Certificate/NC(V) L4.
• N6 Certificate and/or N Diploma in the relevant field of study.
• High competence in the subject and Level applied for i.e. 60+
• Must be a former Mnambithi TVET college student who was enrolled as a full-time student.
• Must not be currently enrolled at the college.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain pro-active academic Support at the campus by offering dynamic
support to learners.
• Implement and manage a functional academic support system at the campus
• Be active in the development of academic support material.
• Compile and submit reports as required.
• Attend Mentoring and coaching courses.
• Provide guidance for peer tutors, as well as students
• Develop lesson plans for contact sessions
• Ensure that classroom is open for contact session
• Facilitate contact sessions with students
• Completion of attendance register
• Meet with peer tutors, go through lesson plan for the next contact session
• Motivate students to attend
• Evaluate the progress of students in class and recommend remedial action
• Train and guide peer tutors on how to assist learners in class (assist peer learners)
• Attend to queries that arise during contact sessions
• Develop material and review existing material
• Identify gaps in material that needs to be adjusted
• Identify students who need individual support if the need arises in class, and refer accordingly
