Overview:

The transfer of patients to and from different areas of the hospital can be achieved through the use of a bed, stretcher, or wheelchair, ensuring their safety at all times. Other patient-related items can also be moved or transported upon request, with a quick response time. High-quality customer service is always a top priority.

Responsibilities:

When a complex patient care and transport situation arises, it may require accessing available resources to resolve the issue. The main goal is to ensure seamless patient transport without any incidents.

Consistently utilizes the prescribed method of transfer handover (e.g., Hall Pass, Ticket-to-Ride, etc.) to capture the patient's precise status, location, and condition. This procedure involves effective communication between the bedside nurse, the receiving procedure area staff, and the patient's floor staff. Additionally, ensures that any modifications, delays, or other pertinent information that could impact the expected transport plan are conveyed without delay.

The patient transport log, whether in electronic format or physical, must be consulted and updated by the designated personnel responsible for transport requests. The goal is to sort out, sequence and arrange the requests in order of priority to guarantee that the number of transport-related assignments is within a reasonable range.

Impeccably carry out customer service and maintain a polished persona. Immediately report any mishaps that may require service restoration to executives.

Conducts routine cleaning of all equipment and machinery utilized in the hospital setting.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the job, candidates must have completed their high school education or have a qualifying substitute

One year or less of experience is preferred in taking care of patients in a hospital

The possession of healthcare-related work experience would be advantageous

Experience in dealing with clients is a plus.

Computer experience preferred.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED

Both organizations provide training for lay responders who may witness a cardiac or respiratory arrest in a public setting
