Job Description:
Soliant is seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) for a full-time school-based position in New Paltz, NY. The PT will be responsible for evaluating and providing therapy services to students with physical disabilities, focusing on improving mobility, strength, and overall physical function. This is a great opportunity to make a positive impact on students' physical development in an educational environment.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct evaluations to identify students' physical therapy needs.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aimed at improving physical function and mobility.
• Provide direct therapy services to students in accordance with their IEPs (Individualized Education Plans).
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure the therapy program supports students educational goals.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and students progress.
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide input regarding students' physical therapy needs.
Requirements:
• Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
• Valid New York state PT license.
• Experience in pediatric or school-based therapy preferred.
• Strong munication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with school staff, parents, and other professionals.
