About the position

Join our dedicated team as a Personal Caregiver, where you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors in the Tualatin, Sherwood, and Canby areas. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $17 to $21, depending on experience. As a caregiver, you will work in both home settings and senior living communities, providing essential support to help seniors age in place comfortably and with dignity. Your role will involve assisting clients with daily living activities, which may include bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, as well as providing companionship and emotional support. You will also be responsible for preparing meals, encouraging proper nutrition, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for your clients. In addition to personal care, you will document care notes and any changes in your clients' conditions, ensuring that all information is recorded accurately and in a timely manner. You will also assist clients with medication administration, following all relevant procedures and guidelines. Our caregivers are expected to be motivated, flexible, and proactive in finding ways to exceed expectations and provide exceptional care. We offer in-house skills training, including CPR and First Aid certification, to ensure you feel supported and confident in your role. This position requires a warm smile, a compassionate heart, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our seniors.

Responsibilities
• Assists clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and transferring.
,
• Encourages clients to perform as much of their own care as possible.
,
• Prepares meals according to directions from clients and their families.
,
• Encourages clients to maintain a proper diet and adequate fluid intake while respecting their choices.
,
• Initiates and participates in activities or programs that support friendships with family and friends.
,
• Maintains client ADL and care notes in a timely manner, documenting medication given, leisure activities, incidents, and observations.
,
• Reports any changes in client condition and/or behavior to the nurse or care manager.
,
• Assists clients with medication as defined in medication procedures, following physician orders and state laws.
,
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment for clients, performing general housekeeping duties.
,
• Follows proper procedures in emergency situations.
,
• Encourages teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers.

Requirements
• Must be 18 years or older.
,
• Experience in caregiving preferred (1 year).
,
• Ability to commute to Sherwood, OR, preferred.
,
• Ability to relocate to Sherwood, OR, required.
