The City of Brady is seeking an experienced professional to serve as City Manager. The City of Brady is a Home Rule City with a mayor and five City Council members. With a population of approximately 5000, Brady, the county seat of McCulloch County, is located in the “True Heart of Texas”. The City is a full-service municipality, providing water, wastewater, gas, and electric services as well as fire and police services to its residents. The fiscal year 2025 budget is $39 million.
The City Manager is the Chief Administrative Officer of the City of Brady and is responsible for the proper administration of all the affairs of the City. A Bachelor’s degree, master’s preferred, in Public Administration, business, or a related field with experience in Municipal Finance and budgeting along with five to seven years in municipal government administration either as a City Manager, Assistant City Manager, or major department head in an equivalent size or larger city is required. It is essential that the individual have outstanding interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.
The starting salary is open and will depend upon the background and qualifications of the successful candidate.
