The role requires taking care of all the operational work assigned within the store, especially the front-end and sales floor duties and as well as supporting in employee training, recruitment, and career advancement as indicated by the Store Manager
In addition to managing the day-to-day operations, the job requires the incumbent to participate in long-term planning and strategy development to ensure the organization's continued success:
• Collaborate with the Store Manager to complete all necessary tasks related to store functions
• Competent in completing all start-up and shutdown procedures without the presence of the Store Manager
• Assist the store manager in securing and upholding all company assets, with a special emphasis on store cash
• It is crucial to follow the established policies and procedures, including the safety guidelines, to create a safe and secure working environment for everyone
• Strive to establish a positive connection with all individuals who cross your path while maintaining the standards of professionalism
• The upkeep of all portions of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, should be consistent with company standards, including the proper organization of merchandise
• In the absence of the Store Manager, another individual is responsible for directly supervising all hourly Associates
• Adhere to the guidelines set forth by SSC Corporate and follow the procedures for handling Pull and Hold/Destroy notices, Task Compliance instructions, and Key Survey information
• The Assistant Manager may be responsible for fulfilling any requests or communications linked to store activities, as assigned by the Store Manager
• Aid the Retail Operations Manager to handle the acceptance and return of direct-store-delivery commodity.
• Complying with the VIP and DSD regulations is necessary for protecting the company's reputation and maintaining customer trust
• Collaborate with the Store Manager to schedule staff effectively and efficiently
• Collaborate with the store manager to maintain a sales-effective sales area on a daily basis
• Provide assistance in managing the cashiering function, monitoring and enforcing the relevant policies and guidelines of the company to maintain a high level of financial accountability
• The promotional influence of storefront fixtures and displays
• Assist in increasing sales output in seasonal areas by streamlining operations
• Utilizing effective signs to enhance the store experience
• Optimizing the Handling of DSD Product Returns
• The daily routine involves managing harmed goods
• Collaborate with the Store Manager to produce weekly employee scheduling plans
• Help oversee the procurement of store supplies and management of expenses
• Enhance the customer experience by providing a consistent appearance of the checkout area that reflects high standards of cleanliness and organization
• Replenish coolers and store-front program racks/displays daily to keep essential items like balloon program, sunglasses, batteries, etc. in stock, which is vital for providing top-notch customer service
• Assist with the coordination of the Drive Item venture
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
• It is advantageous to have a history in retail and management
• Strong aptitude in verbal and written communication, interpersonal connections
• Able to transport and relocate bulky merchandise weighing up to 50lbs by utilizing robust physical abilities
• Showing the ability to effectively contribute to a team that operates in an energetic atmosphere
