We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team at ProValidus Medical Staffing. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with us, you will play a crucial role in delivering expert healthcare services and improving patient outcomes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside a dynamic team of healthcare professionals in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as ordered by the physician and according to all facility policies and procedures.
• Keep comprehensive medical records of patient care delivery.
• Reports pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents promptly to Nursing Supervisor and/or Physician.
• Provides oncoming shift and supervisors with an accurate and complete resident status report.
• Provide proper transcription and execution of Physician orders.
• Communicate pertinent information about resident condition and progress to charge nurses, supervisors, and Director of Nursing, as indicated.
• Follow Infection Control policies and procedures.
• Assist in monitoring the inventory of medications, medical supplies and equipment.
• Participate in Quality Improvement activities, as assigned.
• Performs nursing duties according to policies/procedure and scope of practice.
• Provides for the emotional & physical comfort and safety of the resident.
• Observes for changes in clinical and/or functional status & reports changes to Nursing Supervisor and/or Physician.
• Makes rounds to monitor, observe and evaluate resident’s general condition.
• Demonstrates ability to problem solve utilizing resources.
• Monitors/documents resident’s response to medication.
• Possesses a sound knowledge base of medication and treatment administration.
• Communicates information intra/interdepartmentally.
• Maintains the highest standard of customer service when assisting residents, their families, and visitors.
• Adheres to Resident Rights and confidentiality regulations.
Qualifications:
• Active LPN License in the state of New York (required).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A caring and patient-centered approach to nursing care.
