This role will involve assisting with the development, implementation, and monitoring of safety and environmental programs in both indoor and outdoor industrial settings.Job Summary:The Safety Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining company compliance with all OSHA and state safety regulations, ensuring that safety programs are implemented effectively across the plant. This role will work closely with leadership to drive safety initiatives, conduct training, and investigate safety incidents while fostering a positive safety culture within the organization.Duties and Responsibilities:• Maintain compliance with all relevant OSHA and state safety regulations and ensure proper reporting and accountability systems are in place.• Conduct audits and maintain all OSHA and PSM (Process Safety Management) recordkeeping requirements.• Prepare and deliver safety training for both new hires and current employees on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis (including both awareness and authorization training).• Investigate incident reports for trends, lead serious lost-time and recordable investigations, and develop corrective actions.• Track OSHA recordable incidents and safety trends; report safety performance metrics to management regularly.• Assist in strategic planning to ensure that potential environmental and safety impacts of manufacturing processes are considered.• Serve as the primary safety advisor for site compliance, continuous improvement projects, and safety programs.• Conduct safety and awareness training for contractors and visitors.• Collaborate with the Safety Director and leadership team to identify and facilitate process improvement initiatives and Kaizen events.• Perform audits to ensure sustainability and completion of safety and continuous improvement initiatives.• Attend management team meetings, safety committee meetings, and continuous improvement meetings.• Ensure the proper storage and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes.• Other duties as assigned.Requirements and Qualifications:• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.• Manufacturing/Construction Safety Experience is required.• Must be energetic and passionate about influencing safety culture.• Education/Certificates: One of the following certifications is required: SHEP, CSHO, OSHA 500 or 501.• Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 2-3 years of experience in a concrete/precast safety role.• Strong knowledge of all applicable government safety regulations and plant-specific safety policies.• Understanding of Continuous Improvement and Lean concepts.• OSHA compliance training and familiarity with 6S standards.• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).• Strong presentation and communication skills (both verbal and written).• Excellent organizational skills, solid problem-solving abilities, and effective time management.• Strong team-building and systems sustainment skills.Work Schedule:This is a full-time position with standard hours, and may require occasional overtime or weekend work.Benefits:• Benefits available after 60 days of employment, including medical, dental, vision, and short-term disability insurance.• 80 hours of Paid Time Off (PTO) during the first year, with additional PTO available after that.• Paid weekly.Job Type: Full-timePay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per yearBenefits:• 401(k)• Dental insurance• Health insurance• Paid time off• Professional development assistance• Vision insuranceSchedule:• 10 hour shift• Monday to Friday• On call• Weekends as neededExperience:• Manufactoring Safety: 2 years (Required)Language:• Spanish (Preferred)Work Location: In person
