Job Description

Gorilla Commerce is seeking a hard-working, personable, open to learning, collaborative, and positive attitude individual. This role will report directly to the US Product Safety & Compliance Senior Manager. The individual will provide daily support for projects and team members who work to ensure that all Gorilla products are safe and compliant.
The Role Responsibilities
• Maintaining various internal trackers:
• Warnings & Legal Disclaimer Tracker
• Translation glossary and the compliance team dictionary
• Monthly regulatory reporting
• US budget tracking and reporting
• Managing Translations for product labeling and packaging:
• Obtain translations from our third party service
• Communicate translations to Sourcing, Creative, and Product Development
• Claims management and substantiation:
• Provide testing direction on Monday.com boards for QA
• Finalize claim statements to ensure they are substantiated and in accordance to FTC and other federal regulations
• Reviewing and approving product and creative assets including:
• Packaging and product labeling pre-launch
• Exiting product and its labeling to ensure continuous compliance
• Providing guidance for new product development and testing:
• Determine what testing is needed or required
• Review lab reports and provide direction
• Provide product label requirements
• Assess warnings and other label requirements required on product and/or packaging
• Evaluate and approve samples with the Product Development team; provide direction if applicable

This Associate will support in various projects including, but limited to:
• GC Product Compliance process and standards
• Process development and/or improvements
• Liaisoning with third-party labs, product safety attorney, and human factors expert
• Ensuring records are maintained and up to date
• Vendor Compliance/Social Accountability processes
• International product compliance program development
• Compliance software/platform development and implementation
• Conduct regular searches for new compliance regulations such as EPA PFAS, CPSC GCC/CPC electronic filing.
• Other projects and functions as assigned by QA Leaders
Requirements
• Excellent English oral and written skills necessary
• 2-5 years experience working in product safety, compliance, quality assurance, and product development for consumer goods, preferably hardlines.
• Must be familiar with CPSC, FDA, California Proposition 65, and other regulatory requirements on both US Federal and US State Level. Canada, Mexico & International a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a service approach
• The ideal individual must have proven ability to achieve results in a fast-paced environment and is energized by constant change.
• Excellent data & analytical skills and a strong detail focus
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills; must have an ability to manage deadlines as needed.
• Eager to learn and willing to go above and beyond
• Problem Solver with a collaborative solution-based outcome, out of the box thinker
• Working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word are necessary with a more advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work in web-based, data-management, workflow, and communication platforms like Monday.com is a plus.
• ESG and import experience a plus
• International Travel possible
• Bachelor's degree a plus
