Role Summary: The Sr. Manager, Demand Planning Excellence plays a pivotal role within the Center of Excellence (COE), responsible for serving as a process owner and thought leader, to drive global process standards within Demand Planning. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining global standards, processes, and systems pertaining to the Demand Planning function. They work with Corning business partners as a valued thought leader to identify challenges and opportunities, generate creative options and build consensus towards a solution. They leverage their demand planning knowledge, data-driven mindset, and ability to influence and lead change, as well as external benchmarking in best practices and emerging trends. They are a critical resource in business transformation, innovation and digitization. The manager will work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of demand planning with business objectives and continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the demand planning function.
Location: Corning NY or Charlotte, NC
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Forecasting: Lead the development of capabilities for short-term (13-week), mid-term (18-month), and long-term (5-year) demand forecasting methodologies, process, and tools.
• Process Ownership & Standards: Continue to develop global process standards to improve the effectiveness of the process and continue to implement demand planning global standards to ensure consistency, accuracy, and scalability across the organization.
• Allocation Management: Oversee development of processes and capabilities for customer prioritization and supply allocation to improve customer satisfaction.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Enable development of capabilities for advanced data analytics tools and techniques to continually refine and improve forecasting models, ensuring data accuracy and relevancy.
• Coach and Evaluate: Evaluate and coach BU teams on how to apply and leverage demand planning principles and best practices.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Enable cross collaboration with sales, marketing, supply chain, finance, and operations teams to align demand planning efforts with overall business goals.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to continuously improve demand planning processes and technology, leveraging emerging trends and innovations.
• Risk Management: Identify risks related to demand variability and develop contingency plans to address forecast uncertainties.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field with 12+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management within a large and complex organization.
• Strong proficiency in demand planning software (e.g., SAP IBP, Kinaxis, Oracle, OMP, O9, etc.). SAP IBP is preferred.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.

The range for this position is $108,702.00 - $149,465.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
