About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced substitute educator to join our team at Stonewall Day Care Center Inc.
As a substitute teacher, you will play a vital role in assisting the classroom teacher with instructional duties and creating a welcoming learning environment for students. Your primary goal is to provide students with the tools they need to reach their full potential.
Responsibilities
• Assist students individually and in small groups, promoting academic growth and development.
• Supervise students in the classroom and elsewhere in the school, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, adhering to educational standards and guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with parents and school personnel as requested by the head teacher, fostering a collaborative approach to education.
Requirements
• Prior experience as a teaching assistant or similar role is preferred, demonstrating your ability to support instructional activities.
• Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management, enabling you to create engaging and effective lesson plans.
• Familiarity with classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment for students.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, allowing you to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff members.
• Energetic and positive attitude, reflecting your enthusiasm for education and commitment to student success.
