Registered Nurse (RN) Overview:
The General Nurse (RN) is tasked with planning and providing nursing care for patients or residents in need of long-term or rehabilitative services.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
• Operates in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, facility policies, and professional nursing standards.
• Assesses, plans, and evaluates the nursing care provided to residents needing long-term or rehabilitative support.
• Delivers nursing services to patients requiring extended care.
• Implements and assesses the effectiveness of the patient's care plan.
• Oversees and guides the care delivered by other nursing staff.
• Contributes to the development and assessment of care standards.
• Keeps up-to-date with documentation requirements.
• Familiarizes oneself with the setup, maintenance, and usage of medical equipment (e.g., monitors, infusion devices).
• Upholds patient confidentiality and adheres to patient rights concerning all personal information.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers as needed.
• Maintains a professional demeanor in line with unit and facility policies.
• Available to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
• Must have graduated from an accredited nursing education program.
• At least one year of medical/surgical nursing experience in either an acute care or long-term care setting (experience in acute/critical care is preferred).
• Must hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state(s) of practice and have reliable transportation.
