University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a Certified Nurse Practitioner or a Certified Physician Assistant to join our Endocrinologypractice due to growth and patient demand.

In this Role You Will:
• Be responsible for outpatient clinical duties at the M Health Fairview Specialty Clinics located at the Clinics and Specialty Surgery Center in Minneapolis, MN, and in the East Metro.
• Treat patients with Endocrinology conditions, including a focus on the diabetes patient population, and partnering with collaborating physicians.
• Obtain patient histories and provide physical and psychological health assessments, patient education and counseling, orders and interprets diagnostic procedures, and manages acute and chronic disease conditions ensuring continuity of care for individuals in the communities served. Independently assess and manage patients with diabetes and implement diabetes care plans developed in collaboration with the physicians.
• Attend meetings and provide basic diabetes education.
• Work as a member of an experienced team of Endocrinologists and in close collaboration with diabetes educators and pharmacists.
• Fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC).

Your Schedule:
• 1.0 FTE (40 hours/week).
• Work Monday - Friday
• No weekends or call requirements.

We're Looking for a PA or NP Who Is:
• A graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or formal Adult Nurse Practitioner training program.
• Eligible to be certified or is certified through NCCPA, ANCC or AANP.
• Licensed or eligible to obtain a license and prescriptive authority through the MN Board of Medical Practice (PAs) or MN APRN license with prescriptive authority through the MN Board of Nursing (NPs).
• Able to meet thresholdcriteria/qualificationsfor credentialing and privileges.
• Experienced as an NP or PA of 3 years in endocrinology or similar related specialty area.

What Could Set You Apart:
• Experience with insulin pumps, continuous glucose monitors, and use of multiple medications to manage diabetes is helpful.

The full-time salary range is $120,756 - $145,859 commensurate with practice experience and may also include incentive compensation or additional specialty-specific compensation components. Salary prorated based on FTE.
