About the roleJob Description Summary:Interface with cross functional team to design and develop functional solutions that achieve design requirements to ensure proper design interfaces with other components, and all requirements are met. Work with other functions Design / Releasing teams to ensure consistency in requirements, standards, and practices across programs. Translate functional obje...ctives into technical requirements and solutions. Create and analyze alternative design concepts. Integrate system components. Support benchmarking of competitive vehicles. Maintain core Engineering Design Practices (EDPs). Implement innovation roadmaps as well as coordinate the advancement of new technologies and procedures to improve program timing. Define customer interface requirements. Own and update Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Design Verification Plan & Report (DVPR), and Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) to ensure functional objectives, guidelines and corporate requirements are met. Conduct Computer Aided Design (CAD) modeling (Catia / NX) and template set-up & maintenance using Knowledge Based Engineering template modeling techniques. Develop program High Voltage Battery Systems (HVES) concepts that satisfy battery pack and vehicle level functional objectives down to the battery module design level. Execute programs through POP that meet or exceed objectives or performance, cost, weight, investment, and quality. Roving employee- will work at various unknown client sites throughout the U.S for up to 100% of the time. Must be willing to travel anywhere in the U.S and may be assigned to work at client sites across the U.S.Qualifications:Master’s degree in Engineering (any) or related field of study and two (2) year of work experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. In lieu of a Master’s degree in Engineering (any) or related field of study and two (2) year of work experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained, employer will also accept a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any) or related field of study and five (5) years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. Must also have demonstrated experience in the following: Developing automotive products; Leading the development phase for automobiles and concept to vehicle launch; Conducting cross functional reviews with multi-disciplined teams and accountable to meet and present program level KPIs for each milestone during program reviews; Developing the DFMEA and DVPR; Supporting risk assessment, functional and functional issues; Unigraphics; CATIAV6; Teamcenter; and VisMockUP.Salary offered for the position is: $117,853.00 - $122,853.00/year.Primary Work Location:900 N Squirrel Rd, Suite 300, Auburn Hills, MI 48326.
