Job Summary
The Markey Cancer Center Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Shared Resource Facility ( BBSRF ) is looking for a Statistician to join our team. This position will work closely with faculty in the development, implementation, conduct and analyses of projects in cancer prevention and control research. In particular, the Statistician will be responsible for managing cancer registry data linked with health claims data and related programing, and analysis effort in utilization of the data for outcomes research, and work collaboratively with a broad array of investigators in cancer prevention and control research. . In addition, the Statistician will develop expertise in various large secondary cancer related database, assist in completing interim and final analyses, providing quality checking for cancer registry data and creating tables and graphs for reports, abstracts, papers, and manuscripts. The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree and 1 year of related experience in biostatistics and be proficient in SAS and R. Previous experience working with cancer registry data and large secondary data is preferred.
This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement subject to supervisor approval.

Preferred Education/Experience
Master’s degree in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology or related field, plus 2 years or more related experience preferred.
