Job Summary:
Our company is searching for a Warehouse Receiving and Forklift Clerk to work the night shift and be part of a dynamic team. You will be responsible for unloading trailers, inspecting inbound merchandise, and safely operating forklifts. Responsibilities:
• Careful inspection of all incoming merchandise is an essential part of the quality control process, ensuring that finished products are of the highest standard
• Expertly maneuver forklifts to relocate and properly store incoming materials
• Offer cross-functional support: Lend a hand in other areas of the company that may benefit from your assistance, such as in shipping or logistics. This can help increase your knowledge of the overall inventory processes
• Coordinate the shipment of outgoing and incoming packages for both couriers
• Proper hygiene practices must also be implemented in the warehouse to prevent the spread of germs and illness
• Upholding safety protocols and maintaining hygienic conditions can prevent mishaps and preserve public health
• Monitor the expiration dates of foods and report any expired items to management. Consuming expired food can be hazardous to the health of customers and can also lead to legal issues for the establishment
Qualifications:
• A high school diploma or its equivalent is essential for a successful career
• Employers may give preference to candidates with warehouse experience that ranges from one to three months
• Employers are responsible for ensuring that their workers have completed the necessary forklift training and certification before allowing them to operate forklifts in the workplace
• Mastery of basic math and language skills is essential for success in academics and beyond
• Being an effective communicator can make all the difference in one's career, as it's important in any job to collaborate and work well with others
• In the digital age, people must possess a basic understanding of computers, or at least be willing to acquire the necessary skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Adeptness in deciphering a small cluster of words with two or three syllables and recognizing likenesses and differences between these words and numeric directions
• Fluency in composing and uttering uncomplex English statements
• Being able to add and subtract two-digit numbers, and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's, is a crucial skill in mathematics
• Skill in utilizing commonsense to execute oral instructions effectively
• Capability to Tackle Situations with a Single Tangible Element in Regular Contexts
• The ability to operate computer systems like Excel, Outlook and SAP is a critical factor in enhancing productivity and communication in the workplace
