Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and mechanically inclined Residential Security Technician to join our team. This role involves installing and servicing security systems, including burglar alarms, CCTV, DVRs, and access control systems for residential customers. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, be comfortable using hand and power tools, and have reliable transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and program burglar alarms, CCTV (IP & Analog), DVRs, and access control systems.
Install window breaks, door units, and smoke detectors.
Troubleshoot signal issues to ensure proper alarm function.
Perform daily field interactions with customers, providing top-quality customer service.
Test and verify signals for equipment.
Train customers on equipment use and connectivity.
Complete necessary customer paperwork and cost all parts used for each job.
Maintain accurate truck inventory of products.
Achieve 90% goal attainment for completed installations with zero "go-backs".
Qualifications:
Mechanically inclined with experience using hand/power tools.
Ability to connect devices to Wi-Fi and explain technology to customers.
Reliable transportation for use during the contract period.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Presentable and professional appearance for customer interactions.
Preferred Experience:
Experience with alarm installation/servicing or entry-level cabling and construction.
Knowledge of Cat6 wiring, low voltage cabling, telecom, and construction.
Familiarity with security systems, CCTV, access control, and alarm installation.
Work Environment:
Use personal vehicle to travel from site to site.
Access to tech support for job assistance.
Flexible driving radius, typically within a 2-hour range.
PPE and uniform provided.
Potential for weekend work and overtime.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00
