Turbine Repair Technologies Ltd (TRT Ltd) are excited to be looking for a Plasma Spray Operator to join our Operations team.

Turbine Repair Technologies Ltd (TRT Ltd) is a joint venture between Rolls-Royce Plc and Chromalloy, focused on the repair of gas turbine blades and vanes for aerospace and energy applications. It has specialisms in various coatings required to protect components from extreme heat during operations in addition to some more conventional repair techniques.

The core business of TRT Ltd is the repair of turbine blades and vanes for Civil Aerospace, Military and industrial gas turbine engines.

JOB TITLE: Plasma Spray Operator

DEPARTMENT: LPPS/APS

RESPONSIBLE TO: Production Supervision

This role will require you to have a great attitude and high levels of motivation. You will have good attention to detail and will be able to work well both as an individual and as part of a team.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To set and operate Thermal Spray equipment (LPPS & APS) machines as requested by supervision.
• To accurately Process, measure and confirm acceptability of aerospace components which the Company repairs.
• To set and change fixtures and tooling as required on Thermal Spray machines.
• To develop and implement programs and set coating parameters.
• To conduct diagnostics and fault finding on the systems.
• Generally support Engineering and Maintenance functions on Thermal Spray processes.
• To train colleagues as and when required to do so.
• To interpret and conform to “Route Card” and “Standard Data Card” instructions.
• To carry out routine maintenance on equipment to the required TPM / PPM standards.
• To ensure that supervision is informed of any problems or discrepancies as they arise.
• To understand and work to TRT guidelines and observe all TRT policies.
• To understand and conform to all Quality requirements within TRT Ltd.
• To understand and conform to all Health and Safety requirements within TRT Ltd.
• Any other duties that may be required by the Company.

In addition, the successful candidate will be required to understand and work to TRT guidelines and observe all TRT policies.

DESIRABLE:
• Experience in Aerospace.
• Plasma Spray experience preferred.

PARTICULARS:

SALARY: Training rate - £14.05 per hour. Once qualified - £15.12 per hour. (Rates inclusive of 15% shift premium).

HOURS: 39 hours per week – Monday - Friday. Shifts alternating 06:00-14:00/14:00-22:00*

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £14.05-£15.12 per hour
