The shift hours for this job start from 11:00 AM and end at 7:00 PM, from Monday to Friday

Compensation can vary based on your experience, but you may be able to earn up to $29.50 per hour. Other local incentives, such as referral bonuses or added pay, may also apply.

General Purpose

In a nutshell, being a Electrical Maintenance Engineer entails ensuring that plant electrical and control systems are installed, modified, and maintained in line with all safety codes. The role requires the Technician to be knowledgeable in executing tasks safely while troubleshooting electrical and controls wiring problems that occur in the production equipment and systems. A Controls Technician should have impeccable communication and stakeholder management skills and demonstrate a high-level of critical thinking while troubleshooting complex electrical and controls wiring issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensure the optimal performance of the electrical and control systems by conducting periodic preventive maintenance, involving disassembly, cleaning, reassembly and calibration.
• Attain competence in interpreting and translating the pertinent data within building and process blueprints and one-line diagrams to successfully install electrical fixtures, including but not limited to, load centers, circuits, and outlets.
• Testing all connections on newly installed electrical equipment is one of the most important stages in the process to make sure that everything is working safely.
• Utilize technical knowledge to diagnose potential causes of electrical and control issues in industrial equipment and processes.
• Follow all the norms, rules, and regulations designed for electrical installations by the local, state, and national authorities.
• Ensure that the maintenance of motor control centers (MCC's), switchgear, transformers, generators, and electronic controllers on mechanized tools and industrial robots is consistent.
• Collaborate with management, technicians, and operators to identify and address any potential electrical hazards.
• Enhance the plant's communication system by installing cutting-edge technology such as fiber optic cables, coaxial wires, and computer networks.
• The timely completion of maintenance tasks depends on the efficient execution of the work schedule given by the supervisor, which requires careful strategic decision-making.
• Maintain open lines of communication with the Plant Controls Specialist to ensure he/she receives regular updates on any matters affecting the efficiency of the area's procedures and equipment.
• Evaluate the assignments to determine the scope and the best way to complete the work. Ensure that you communicate with the person who requested the work, the maintenance planner, or the supervisor as appropriate.
• Gather and assemble drawings, one-liners, instructional manuals and other relevant information from various sources to complete the work order.
• Effective operations support and work execution requires the priority of safety needs, which may include measures such as Arc Flash/Shock Hazard safety, confined space entry, LOTO, hazardous materials, and the safe use of hand tools.
• Regularly updating the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) is necessary to preserve reliable plant asset historical records.
• Display an in-depth understanding of plant processes and packaging approaches.
• While implementing the work schedule and operational maintenance, it is important to follow the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and maintain a safe and organized working environment.
• Follow plant policies rigidly when performing assigned duties.
• The product's integrity and value must always be upheld.
• Joining meetings and assisting in the advancement of continuous improvement initiatives.
• Security systems should be part of the preventive maintenance program to ensure they are functioning optimally, offering optimal security around the facility.
• Develop a maintenance audit strategy to assess the effectiveness of the maintenance processes and identify areas for improvement.
• Energy and water conservation should be a top priority for businesses and households alike.
• Maintain continuous communication with the designated maintenance crew, production supervisor, and machine operator technicians.
• Recommend strategies for system optimization that can improve system performance and reduce errors.
• Ensure that all essential documentation is up-to-date and disseminate accurate control reports.
• Expanding Warehouse Supplies: Providing Ideas for Stock Room Growth.
• Assume other tasks and specific duties as demanded by the management.

Qualifications:

Education:
• Applicants should have completed high school or an equivalent program to be eligible for this position. Nevertheless, those with technical manufacturing trade abilities or an associate's degree will be given more consideration.

Experience:
• Although applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED, those with technical manufacturing trade skills or an Associate's Degree will be at an advantage.
• To be successful in the industrial workplace, strong writing skills are a must. From composing emails to writing reports and memos, the ability to effectively communicate in writing is crucial to achieving success
• The ideal candidate should have prior manufacturing maintenance experience of 3-5 years, with a focus on controls and electronics maintenance.
• To apply for this job, the candidate should have experience in controls equipment, specifically Allen Bradley PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and Industrial Networks. The employee should also be well-versed in Human Machine Interfaces, such as Wonderware and Ignition. The role necessitates that the candidate understands how these systems integrate and communicate. The responsibilities involve the programming and troubleshooting of control equipment utilized in industrial settings, requiring proficiency in both hardware and software components
• PLC knowledge at a basic level is required.
• The capacity to multitask using different software tools and systems is crucial for maximum efficiency
• Proficient in implementing controls equipment projects, which include managing SLC 500, Controls Logix, Panel View Plus, and Allen Bradley VFDs
• The mastery to comply with the manufacturer's specifications and diagrams is vital to sustain dependability and avert hazards.
• Extensive knowledge of tool safety and usage guidelines.
• Experienced in analyzing one-line diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
• Ability to understand and interpret a variety of technical information relevant to electrical work, including one-line diagrams, technical orders, and schematics.
• Knowledgeable in determining the expected electrical circuit load demands.
• A broad understanding of the operations, abilities, and drawbacks of complex electrical power sources and distribution networks is necessary.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, controls, electrical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), machine tools, and pneumatics are all important factors in a maintenance background
• Capability in deciphering complex electrical malfunctions on sizable projects and implementing examination methodologies.
• One of the many talents that an electrician requires is the ability to skillfully operate different types of electronic, electrical, or electromechanical test and measurement equipment, as well as hand and power tools.
• Adept in detecting, identifying, and troubleshooting underlying problems in electrical systems and fixing them efficiently.
• It is possible that you will be expected to provide your own tools
• Able to lift anything less than or equal to 50 pounds
• Dexterity in embracing duties that necessitate multitasking on various levels like catwalks, ladders, etc., and proficiency in working competently regardless of extreme temperature conditions
• The potential to resolve difficult issues and perform effectively in nerve-racking situations is fundamental
