Job Summary
Bookkeeper/Accounts (employed/self-employed)
The Atlantic Hotel, Newquay is looking for a bookkeeper/Accounts. To provide the Hotel Managing Director with overall financial support for the company.
We are a 57-bedroom family run hotel in central Newquay.
You will be responsible for:
• Ensuring daily sales import and end of day reports are correct from our Hotel Management System HLS (High Level Software)
• Ensuring daily sales import and end of day reports are correct from our Restaurant Management System Zonal / Aztec
• Daily reconciliations – bank, cash and PDQ control accounts.
• Maintain purchase Ledger and arranging supplier payment schedules
• Bank reconciliations
• Monthly Accrual and Prepayments
• Producing monthly management accounts P&L and Balance Sheet
• Payroll processing for 45+ employees on a monthly basis
• Calculating holiday entitlement and all other methods of entitlements and or benefits
• Quarterly VAT returns
• Prepare accounts to year end trial balance
• Additional requests or duties may be given by the managing director in line with this job role.
Essential requirements:
• Xero knowledge
• Accountancy and Payroll experience
• Bookkeeping or AAT Qualified - Level 4
Desirable requirements:
• Knowledge of High-Level Software,
• Knowledge of Zonal
• Knowledge of Aztec
• Hotel accounting experience
Pay is dependent on experience.
Job Type: Part-time
Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
Schedule:
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Weekend availability
