Looking for house sitters to stay at our house while we travel February 1 to April 4 2025. We are on the Bruce Trail at the base of the Bruce Peninsula near Wiarton, Ontario. 30 minutes from Lake Huron and Sauble Beach, 20 minutes from Owen Sound, and 5 minutes from Big Bay. We have a 40 acre farm with amazing views of Georgian Bay. During this period there will be no animals to care for (our dog ...will be doing some traveling of her own). We offer a large, updated farmhouse. High speed internet, fitness equipment, and an outdoor hot tub. There are local farmer food stores just down the road. Art studios and nature opportunities abound in our area. Great place to snowshoe and ski right out the front door. (plus groomed trails within 30 min drive) We are looking for someone who is up for the challenge of maintaining a home in the winter months - a home that is 1km off the main road -and who might be comfortable using a small farm tractor with a snow plow. Or willing to park at the end of the laneway and snowshoe in if needed.
