iRecruit4 are seeking a skilled and reliable Teletruck operator to join our clients team at a waste recycling center. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a teletruck to move, lift, and transport bails and materials such as Plastic, Paper and Cardboard on a waste recycling site in an industrial environment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical operations and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting while ensuring safety protocols are followed. This role is not for the faint hearted and requires someone to work in all weather conditions and with a Teletruck ticket in date.
Location:Outskirts of Andover
Job Role:Teletruck forklift operator
Salary:£30,000 per year to increase to £32,000 after probation
Hours:Shift patterns of either 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Responsibilities
• Operate the teletruck to lift and transport materials to designated areas.
• Perform daily inspections and maintenance checks on the telehandler to ensure it is in safe working condition.
• Assist in loading and unloading materials from lorries and other vehicles.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate material handling tasks.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Report any mechanical issues or concerns regarding equipment performance promptly.
Skills
• Strong mechanical knowledge, including the ability to troubleshoot basic issues with machinery.
• Experience operating a Teletruck
• Experience in commercial driving is advantageous, particularly with heavy machinery.
• Familiarity with digging operations is a plus, enhancing versatility on site.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices in all tasks performed.
