Fernway’s Inventory Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to, daily cannabis inventory counts, daily and weekly non-cannabis inventory counts, preparing and receiving shipments, and transporting items between warehouses.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Cycle Counts: Conduct daily counts of cannabis inventory and weekly counts for non-cannabis inventory items, which include merchandise and apparel
• Receive Shipments: Unload trucks and receive both cannabis and non-cannabis material
• Organize, label and put away inventory items at multiple warehouses
• Assist in preparation and breakdown of shipments
• Execute movement transactions and adjustments within ERP system
• Maintain inventory par levels in Excel, update reports to inform management of inventory position, and assist with investigation & resolution of discrepancies
• Conduct deliveries, both cannabis and non-cannabis
• Communicate well with supervisors and team members
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and a willingness to take on additional tasks such as light warehouse maintenance, deliveries/pickups, packaging, etc., on an as-needed basis
Essential Job Functions:
• Conduct regular cycle counts of inventory on-site (daily, weekly)
• Prepare and receive shipments of inventory on-site
• Organize and label inventory items on-site
• Conduct deliveries
Qualifications & Requirements:
• 21+ years old
• Experience operating a box truck (26’) with a liftgate (non-CDL, no marijuana screening)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb a ladder up to 12’
• Experience with warehouse equipment (i.e., pallet jack, rolling ladder, hand truck, pallet scale, etc.)
• Driver’s License issued by the state of employment
• Experience using inventory management software
• Familiarity with Google Workplace and Microsoft Office suite
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Strong verbal and written skills
• Flexible work schedule, with the ability to work overtime as needed
• Ability to pass Cannabis regulatory background check (may include fingerprinting and a national background check)
• Ability to successfully complete all required onboarding trainings
• A high degree of integrity and ethical conduct, always
