Our dynamic and growing manufacturing client in the Solon area is seeking a high-energy, results-driven Controller to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with strong financial reporting, budgeting, and technical accounting experience. The Controller will oversee the accounting department, manage budgets, ensure accurate financial reporting, and work closely with management and auditors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the accounting team, providing training and performance feedback.
• Assist in developing annual budgets with department managers.
• Coordinate with auditors on accounting and tax matters.
• Oversee accounts payable, invoicing, cash receipts, and credit management.
• Monitor cash flow and manage the company’s bank line of credit.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and variance reports.
• Maintain fixed asset records and manage machinery deposits.
• Provide weekly updates on bookings, backlog, and cash flow to executives.
Requirements:
• 8+ years of accounting experience, including financial and cost accounting.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, and tax procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred).
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and Access (IFS and Paylocity experience a plus).
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, "go-getter" attitude.
