Role Description
The property is looking for a passionate and motivated Senior Baker to join the team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge and experience in artisanal baking to oversee the preparation, baking, and decoration of a wide variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods.
Duties and responsibilities
• Lead the daily production of high-quality artisanal baked goods.
• Prepare, bake, and decorate items in accordance with recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure consistency in product quality and presentation.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and stocking of baking supplies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Train and mentor Junior Bakers to uphold the bakery’s standards.
• Experiment with and introduce new recipes to expand product offerings.
Qualifications and Experience
• 5 Ordinary Level passes
• Diploma in Bakery Studies
• At least two years of professional experience in artisanal bakery
The Ideal Candidate
• Proven experience as a Baker, with a focus on artisanal techniques.
• Strong knowledge of bread-making, pastry, and cake-decorating processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and a passion for creating top-quality products.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Familiarity with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
