Position Summary
We’re representing a long-established leader in the fabrication industry, renowned for delivering high-quality bespoke fabrication work and innovative solutions for over 25 years. As the business continues to grow organically, they are looking for a driven and dynamic Business Development Manager to join the team and contribute to this sustained growth.
The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of the business, identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring their continued success in a competitive market. This position requires a person with a deep understanding of the fabrication industry, a strong network, and a proven track record in business development.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development Plan: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development plan to achieve revenue targets and expand the company’s market presence.
Relationship Management: Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and exploring opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
Client Acquisition: Identify and engage with potential clients, nurture relationships, and convert leads into long-term business relationships.
Proposal Development: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals that clearly communicate the value of our fabrication solutions to prospective clients.
Collaboration: Work closely with the estimating, drawing and production teams to ensure that customer requirements are met, and projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Networking: Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to expand your network, represent the company, and identify new business opportunities.
Reporting: Track and report on business development activities, including pipeline development, conversion rates, and revenue generated, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
Key Skills Required:
Experience: Experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the fabrication industry.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of metal fabrication and an ability to provide creative solutions.
Sales Ability: Proven track record of achieving sales targets, building long-term customer relationships and driving business growth.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts in a clear and persuasive manner.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external clients.
Travel: Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
