Join our innovative Mission Systems Delivery Team (MSDT) as we work on cutting-edge projects related to the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) programme. In this exciting role, you'll be a key player in delivering advanced mission systems engineering capabilities to our clients while enhancing vital technologies that will ensure the UK remains defended for generations.

What You'll Do:
• Contribute to the Assessment Phase of the FCAS programme by developing mission system concepts and architectures.
• Engage in agile work planning to optimize project efficiency.
• Lead and participate in team meetings, daily stand-ups, and agile reviews.
• Mentor and support less experienced Systems Engineers, including apprentices.
• Oversee the creation of essential engineering documentation within the Systems Engineering process.

Your Skills and Experiences:
• Essential:
• A degree in a STEM subject or equivalent relevant experience.
• Solid experience in systems engineering and the engineering lifecycle.
• Proficiency in systems engineering methods and tools, including UML/SysML, MoDAF, MOOD, and Matlab.
• Background in mission systems development and associated domain knowledge.
• Desirable:
• Some experience in an agile working environment.
• Strong presentation skills.

The roles offered within the MSDT cover various specialized areas, including Survivability, Cockpit/HMI, Stores Management, Communications, Navigation, Sensors, Electronic Warfare, and Cyber Security, among others. You will primarily be based in the North of England, with the flexibility to work from home. Regular travel to BAE Systems locations throughout the UK, as well as customer or industry partner sites, may be required.
