Position: CDL Driver (Class A) - Maryland
The CDL driver will be responsible for transporting materials and equipment to construction sites and must have a solid understanding of safety procedures and maintain vehicles in top condition.
Responsibilities:
• Transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from construction sites
• Operate delivery vehicle in a safe and efficient manner
• Inspect and maintain vehicle to ensure it is in good condition
• Load and unload construction equipment
• Adhere to traffic laws and safety regulations while driving
• Manage fuel needs of vehicles
• Log miles, driving hours, and other activities as required to maintain compliance with federal and state laws
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures without deviation
Minimum Qualifications and
Required Skills:
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL)
• Experience driving a delivery truck or similar commercial vehicle
• Construction: 2 years
• Driving: 2 years
• Commercial Driving: 3 years
• Familiarity with traffic laws and safety regulations
• Able to pass DOT Alcohol/Drug testing
• Basic math and record-keeping skills
• Current DOT medical card

Physical Demands/Work Environment:
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
• This position requires driving.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
