Brad Deery Motors in Maquoketa, IA is looking for an individual experienced in collision repairs to build and lead a small team of technicians in our body shop. As an Auto Body Shop Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the operations of our body shop and ensuring high-quality repairs and customer satisfaction. This is a hands-on manager role, and the candidate must be prepared to actively participate in the repair work.
Responsibilities: - Inspect vehicles to assess damage and determine necessary repairs - Provide accurate repair cost and time estimates - Complete essential body damage repairs - Manage and supervise the daily operations of the auto body shop - Coordinate with technicians to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs - Monitor and control quality of repairs, ensuring adherence to industry standards - Engage and communicate with customers to provide updates on repair progress and address any concerns - Oversee the ordering of necessary parts, supplies, and equipment, ensuring cost control and efficiency - Train, mentor, and develop staff to maintain a skilled and motivated team - Enforce safety standards and ensure a safe working environment
Requirements: - Previous experience as an Auto Body Shop Manager or similar role - Strong knowledge and understanding of auto body repair procedures and techniques - Excellent leadership and communication skills - Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment - Proficient computer skills and familiarity with industry software and tools - Attention to detail and commitment to quality repairs - Valid driver's license
