Farris Construction Company has an immediate need for a Commercial Construction Estimator to be based out of our Dahlonega, GA headquarters. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in estimating Big Box/Retail and have excellent communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
· Gather first-hand information from Clients via Prebid meetings.
· Call required subcontractors to obtain information and bids
· Develops sub-base for adequate bid coverage.
· Obtain quotes from subcontractors or vendors
· Qualify bids
· Create projects in our estimating software.
· Create budgets.
· Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers etc.)
· Setup project sites with required equipment, containers, etc.
Skills
· Organizational skills required
· Current in market pricing.
· Outstanding communication
· Thoroughness and reliability
· Ability to work within a team environment as well as self-motivated
· Ability to work with deadlines
· Commercial Construction experience is a must
