Key Responsibilities:
• Surgical Assistance: Provide direct assistance to the surgical team during cardiovascular procedures, including suturing, tissue manipulation, and hemostasis.
• Patient Care & Assessment: Perform pre-operative assessments and assist in planning and implementing patient care during and after surgery.
• Collaboration with the Surgical Team: Work alongside surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal surgical outcomes.
• Monitoring & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of patient care and surgical interventions, ensuring effective communication among the surgical team.
• Patient Advocacy: Serve as an advocate for patients, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed throughout the surgical process.
Qualifications:
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (or eligible to obtain).
• RNFA certification required.
• Previous experience in OR or surgical nursing preferred; a passion for patient care is essential!
• Strong communication skills—bonus points for bringing positivity to the team!
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required.
