Freeway Recruitment are looking to register Candidates for a client for the following role:Role: Warehouse Operative (UK Driving Licence Required)Job type: Temporary-Permanent (Full Time)Shifts – (Days): Monday to FridayShifts: 0930am – 1800pmWarehouse Operative/Loader Responsibilities:We are looking to register candidates who have experience and are familiar working as a WAREHOUSE OPE...RATIVE / VAN YARD SHUNTER for our client located in Inverness.The role requires a Warehouse Operative/Shunter to work shifts between 0930am to 1800pm, OR until the last vehicle is back from daily deliveries. You will require a UK Driving Licence with more than 12 months held.You will be working as part of a larger team, ensuring all warehouse stock that is due out for the same day or next day delivery is successfully picked, aligned for route delivery and then loaded onto the vehicles.You can expect to see to separate runs per shift due to the amount of goods that can be loaded onto the 3.5t Box Van or 7.5 Tonne wagon. The warehouse floor is often busy with stock being sorted and ready for vehicle loadingYou must have excellent attention to detail and be able to read warehouse picking notes, stock barcode order numbers and stock identity codes so that goods are accurately picked and aligned to ensure accurate delivery to the end customer.Working in the role of a Warehouse Operative you will support all aspects of the daily distribution requirements, loading stock due for delivery as well as unloading return items.Due to the nature of our client's stock, you must be physically fit and able to manually handle and move all stock products to carry out this role.Yard Shunting Responsibilities:You will be required to carry out Warehouse Operative/loader duties as well as ensure that 3.5t Box vehicles Driven in and out of the warehouse for loading goods onto. This will require you to work in the yard, safely reversing 3.5t vans into the warehouse, then take them back out into the yard once loaded.It would be beneficial to have commercial Van experience as you will be responsible for daily Driving/Van yard loadingKeyholder Responsibilities:Additional duties include working up to become a keyholder for the site and a supervisory role as part of job progression. A Keyholder is required to ensure the site is safely locked and secured overnight once the last delivery team are back to base and the site can be closed.
