As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating assigned scanners to produce high-quality diagnostic images. Your patient-centered approach will be key as you provide MRI services with professionalism and exceptional customer care. Every patient comes to us in search of answers, and you will play a critical role in guiding them through the process explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring a smooth, supportive experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging
• Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure
• Maintains patient records and ensures that confidential patient information is appropriately secured and protected in accordance with HIPAA regulations
• Executes basic and sophisticated MRI procedures on prescribed body regions, as requested by physicians for the purpose of diagnosing and treating patient illnesses or injuries, with limited oversight and continuous interaction with the patient throughout the examination
• Adjusts the MRI scan parameters precisely and suitably
• Maintains a positive demeanor towards radiologists, clients requiring references and other members of the workforce, promoting harmonious working relationships
• Ensures that physicians' orders are strictly followed and adheres to safety regulations to maintain a secure environment for oneself, patients, and coworkers
• Efficiently organizes patient records in RIS
• Keeps the work area clean and organized to foster safe practices and habits for everyone involved
• Healthcare facilities that maintain ACR toolkit standards and remain accredited are likely to have a competitive advantage and attract more patients
• Guarantees the proper operation of the equipment by keeping it in excellent condition and cleansing it with disinfectants after every use
• Remaining up to date with the latest HIPAA rules and regulations is essential for healthcare professionals to ensure that they are providing the highest level of care to their patients

(5%) MRI Department Support
• Helps in the creation and maintenance of an imaging protocol manual while also upgrading software
• Regularly checks the medical supplies inventory and effectively manages the supply chain by requesting the necessary items on time
• Provides support for the onboarding and coaching of new personnel, sharing resources and technical expertise where necessary

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

Required:
• ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing
• Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
• Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform MRI procedures independently
• Certification in imaging specialty

Preferred:
• Bilingual
