Day Shift
$22/hr-$24/hr
Job Description
This position involves working in the Rebuild Department where you will weld and repair metal components for industrial shredders. You will be responsible for grinding and weld prep on cutters, welding hard face on cutters, grinding profiles, and operating equipment such as air hoists, forklifts, cutting torches, and propane pre-heaters. Quality assurance and maintaining a clean workspace are essential duties.
Responsibilities
• Grind and weld prep on cutters using hand air grinder according to procedure
• Weld hard face on cutters
• Grind profiles on cutters using hand air grinder and profile grinder
• Operate air hoist and forklift
• Operate cutting torch and propane pre-heat
• Check and verify the quality of all personal welds
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area
• Identify cutter size and sweep size
• Maintain welder, tip, gun, and hood
Essential Skills

• Experience in shop helper roles
• Responsible for cleaning parts before fabrication

• Responsible for checking and verifying the quality, size, and spacing of all final welds

Work Environment
The work environment is a fabrication shop with a day shift from 7:00am-3:45pm, Monday to Friday. If overtime is required, the shift will start at 5am, providing extra hours at the beginning of the shift. The job frequently exposes employees to fumes or airborne particles and occasionally to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wilsonville, Oregon.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00
