About the role:
Dental Assistants, are responsible for providing hands-on support to Dentists and completing prep work so they can more efficiently care for patients.
What you'll be doing:
• Assist the dentist during dental procedures such as cleanings, fillings, extractions, and other routine and surgical treatments.
• Prepare and organize instruments, materials, and equipment for dental procedures.
• Ensure that the treatment rooms are clean, well-stocked, well-organized and prepared for each patient.
• Sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to clinic protocols and safety standards.
• Follow infection control procedures to prevent cross-contamination
• Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments and materials to the dentist and ensuring patient comfort.
• Take and develop dental X-rays (if required by the dentist) or assist the dentist in taking them.
• Record patient information and treatment notes accurately in the patient’s record.
What we're looking for:
• At least post-secondary education Graduate
• Strong knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Attention to detail
• Well-organized and reliable
