Building Inspector/Code Enforcement OfficerThe Village of Steger Building Inspector/Code Enforcement Officer should possess some general knowledge of State and Local Laws have the ability to make independent judgments based on accepted policy, have the ability to interact effectively with the public in conveying general legal guidelines and expectations to residents and business people in a cour...teous and tactful manner.Requirements:Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent, experience in the field of planning, zoning, and building, valid ICC certifications as Building Inspector, Property Maintenance Inspector, and Residential Building Inspector or ability to obtain certifications when classes are available. Valid driver's license as issued by the State in which you reside.
