• Job Summary*

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will support our dental team in providing high-quality care to our patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the office. This role requires a blend of clinical skills and patient interaction, with a focus on creating a welcoming environment for patients of all ages.
• Responsibilities*

- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including but not limited to examinations, fillings,implants, crowns, root canals and extractions.

-Utilize the latest technology including Cone Beam CT, Digital impressions, Digital restoration Design, 3d Printing and much much more.

- Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all instruments and materials are sterile and ready for use.

- Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.

- Record patient vital signs and medical histories accurately.

- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.

- Manage patient records using Open Dental or similar dental software, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

- Implement infection control protocols in compliance with industry standards.

- Assist with prosthodontics procedures as needed, demonstrating knowledge of relevant techniques.

- Provide support in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a child-friendly atmosphere during visits.
• Skills*

- Proficiency in aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.

- Knowledge of anatomy related to dental health to assist effectively during treatments.

- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices to cater to younger patients' needs.

- Experience with X-ray technology and safety measures for imaging procedures.

- Strong understanding of infection control measures in a clinical setting.

- Ability to utilize Open Dental Software for managing patient records efficiently.

- Basic understanding of vital signs monitoring to assist in patient assessments.

- Knowledge of Epic or similar electronic health record systems is a plus but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
