Accredited Practical Nurse
Description Introduction: Center Health Care is seeking a dedicated and skilled Accredited Practical Nurse (APN) to join our healthcare team. As an APN, you will be an integral part of our nursing staff, providing high-quality care to our patients and supporting our mission to deliver exceptional healthcare services.
Job Summary and Responsibilities:
As an Accredited Practical Nurse at Center Health Care, you will be responsible for:
• Delivering direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitoring and recording patient vital signs and medical information.
• Assisting with patient assessments and developing care plans.
• Performing routine nursing procedures and tasks.
• Educating patients and their families on health care practices and post-treatment care.
• Ensuring a safe and clean environment for patients.
• Collaborating with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Responding to patient inquiries and concerns with compassion and professionalism.
• Participating in continuing education and training to stay current with nursing best practices.
Qualifications:
• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Current and unrestricted Practical Nurse license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Advanced certifications such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in acute care or a similar environment.
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to prioritize patient needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in high-stress situations.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
Preferred Experience:
• Experience in emergency care, acute care, or similar healthcare settings.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Education:
• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program.
• Continuing education in relevant specialty areas is encouraged and supported.
