We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Licensing Forecast and Royalties Analyst with expertise in data analysis, forecasting, royalties, apparel/retail, and licensing to join our team in New York City. This role involves analyzing historical data to ensure forecast accuracy, evaluating sales and projections, manage royalty reporting and effectively communicating insights. The Financial Analyst will work with Isaac Morris systems for data analysis, perform year-over-year comparisons, manage licensing contracts, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support our licensing and certificate processes. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in the licensing industry, specifically having worked with and have experience with The Walt Disney Company and their forecasting procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze historical data for forecast accuracy and provide insights for business planning internally and with external franchise partners. Knowledge of large franchise forecasting needs is a necessity, for example, The Walt Disney Company, Universal Studios, Paramount, Warner Brothers, Bravado, Coca-Cola, etc.
• Use statistical forecasting methods to interpret and communicate data efficiently within the retail and licensing sectors.
• Analyze sales data and projections for upcoming fiscal periods to aid decision-making and present quarterly to licensor partners.
• Pull data and conduct year-over-year comparisons using Isaac Morris systems.
• Manage and oversee licensing contracts, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
· Maintains a database of all contracts and tracks key dates and obligations.
· Conducts periodic assessments of contract review and management system
to identify risks or opportunities for improvement.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners, fostering collaboration and clear understanding.
• Prepare and submit detailed reports, presentations, and updates to senior management on data and forecast analysis.
· Help with quarterly royalty support and submissions for licensor partners.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Data Analysis, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a licensing or financial analysis role, specifically with The Walt Disney Company.
• Familiarity with statistical forecasting, data analysis, sales projections, and licensing contracts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with high attention to detail.
• Experience with database management and data analysis systems.
• Knowledge of contract law and experience managing licensing contracts (preferred).
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Must be based in New York City.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Will be asked to learn and improve Isaac Morris systems or similar data analysis platforms.
• Experience with research methods to support licensing and compliance.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to present complex data clearly.
