Overview
We are looking for a hard working, self motivated individual to join our existing friendly team of 5 vets and 6 nurses. We are an independent small animal practice with 2 busy branches in the beautiful Forest of Dean.
Our current nursing staff work 28.5 hours across a 3 day rota and a share of Saturday mornings, but we are flexible on this. No emergency out of hours or on-call.
Responsibilities
- Assisting veterinarians during examinations and surgeries
- Monitoring and caring for animals post-surgery
- Administering medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Conducting laboratory tests such as blood work and urinalysis
- Providing nursing care to inpatients
- Maintaining accurate records of patient treatments and progress
Skills
- Proficient in veterinary nursing techniques
- Competent in laboratory procedures related to animal care
- Excellent communication skills with both colleagues and pet owners
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £14.99 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 28.5 per week
