Trial Balance Consulting have been exclusively engaged by a previous client, a long established and highly successful business-to-business services provider. The business has enjoyed sustained growth over recent years and the Managing Director (also acting Finance Director), seeks to recruit an Accounts Administrator to assist them with transactional and administrative tasks. This is a full time, permanent position that will be based from the company’s headquarters in Barnstaple.
Working closely with the MD, General Manager and head office team, the successful candidate will enjoy a broad and varied role which is anticipated to develop into a dedicated finance manager role in time.
Key responsibilities include:
• Accounts payable to include raising PO’s, uploading invoices, reconciling statements and supplier payment runs
• Accounts receivable to include creating and sending client invoices and monitoring aged debtor
• Customer bill generation and processing
• Assisting clients and suppliers with finance queries
• Petty cash management
• Maintenance of company databases and systems
For this role, our client is more focused on sourcing a candidate with strong general aptitude and organisational skills than they are on the status of qualification. The company is highly reliant on MS Excel, and prospective applicants must possess a good working knowledge of pivot tables, formulas, and general data extraction techniques. The company utilises Xero as their accounting platform, so experience in this would be advantageous, though not essential.
The role works within a friendly, busy, and switched-on team and would be well suited to an outgoing and communicative individual with a strong desire to progress.
